Nash Art

At an early age I was taken around flea markets and sales rooms by my Gran a great grandma, so it’s hardly surprising that I would end up in the arts and antique trade. My 20s were spent in the north lanes of Brighton buying and selling antiques and Collectibles like a barrow-boy, doing house clearances, collections and deliveries for Bonhams of Hove which gave me an understanding of certain markets – I love the chase… buying new and exciting things. Through an Arts council grant i hired a studio on the Hove/Brighton border where, for a decade, I sculpted and made commission pieces of furniture that would now be described as ‘fusion steampunk” type creations. After returning to the Midlands, i now volunteer at Union St gallery and community hub, where i am co-director and co-project development officer. In less than a year the art space and community hub has gone from strength to strength in all areas through hard work determination and relentless never give it never give up attitude also looking after and now managing 70 Artist creating setting up exhibitions in our spaces through, Grantham is a gallery and projects like The up-and-coming butterfly project et cetera.
